With a ton of reviews on hold I am posting this review because I just cannot help writing about it. This is a review about an album released just recently, 2016-11-25 on Unperceived Records, to be exact. The artiste is Niklas Paschburg from Germany and his debut album (an EP) – “Tuur mang Welten” I have included some of songs from his latest album “Oceanic” released just last month.
After listening to the songs, “Ulenflucht“, “Holtnevel“, “Tuur mang Welten“, “Dawn“, “De tweete Gleem“, “Waldeinsamkeit” (be patient, piano rings in at around 21 minutes and it’s therapeutic) which take a total time of 24 minutes you are left wondering why this music can’t just go on and on, it’s that beautiful.
Here are the legit uploads.
Listen to the entire album at bandcamp.
And here are the songs from “Oceanic“.
Listen to the entire album at bandcamp.
Note: First time I was able to listen to all the songs. Thanks to cookies the second time around not all songs are playable particularly “Fragmentation” my favorite from the album.
Brief notes on the songs.
“Sand Whirling” sounds like modern Eric Satie.
“Spark” starts like “Drive” from The Cars but later changes to a beautiful instrumental.
“Anew” – Not bad
“Journey among the woods” – The name itself conjures beautiful images but it sounded like tunes lifted from his previous albums? why did he do it, it sounds like a copy of the title track of previous EP.
“Sonar” – nice
“Fade Away” – Good
“Fragmentation” – Just lovely.
“Abeyance” – ok
“Oceanic“ – May sound like a typical tune but grows on you. Lovely.
“Magnetic perturbation” – Nice
“Appear” – Not bad
P.S – By the way, wait till you hear Niklas’s idol, that’s coming soon in another post. Awesomeness Guaranteed!
